Kwun Tong Garden Estate Documentation

It has been a privilege to be commissioned to document key architectural elements of the Kwun Tong Garden Estate in Hong Kong. Constructed in the late 1960s, the estate embodies a distinctive design language that reflects the architectural ideals and social aspirations of its era. Through a series of hand-drawn architectural sketches and written reflections, this project aims to illuminate the estate’s unique spatial composition and thoughtful detailing—elements that speak to the broader narrative of public housing development in post-war Hong Kong. This documentation serves not only as a tribute to the estate’s historical and architectural significance but also as a contribution to the ongoing discourse surrounding the city’s urban and housing legacy.
